EdgeCut Arts

a space co-op for live performance experiments, located in Hell’s Kitchen, NYC

EdgeCut Arts operates out of a 2,600 sq ft loft in Hell’s Kitchen, NYC. Our new permanent space kicks off an exciting evolution of what started as a curatorial project, transforming into a co-op for live performance experiments, with new programming, events, and artists-in-residence.

We are looking to partner with arts organizations and individual artists who would like to present events in our 2,600 sq ft loft. We offer an affordable, DIY approach to presenting projects in a stylish sunlit, high-ceiling gallery in Hell’s Kitchen, close to Times Square. A more detailed request for proposals is coming soon, but in the meantime, if you are looking to start a conversation about an event you want to host please email: edge@edgecut.org

Please note that EdgeCut Arts is proud to be ADA accessible.

Opportunities

Open Call: Creative Producer-in-Residence | EdgeCut Arts is seeking a NYC-based creative producer to bring to life 1-3 shows in the coming year on a freelance basis. The ideal producer has deep knowledge of and commitment to experimental live arts in NYC, including theater, music, dance, and cross-genre performative practices in new media. In addition to a producer’s fee commensurate to the effort and scope of each show, the selected producer would become a member of the EdgeCut co-op and may incubate their own work in our 2,600 sq ft space in Hell’s Kitchen. For more details and to begin a conversation, please be in touch with a brief overview of your producing experience (CV, portfolio, whatevs), availability starting in June and through the coming year, and an example of a show so good you wish you had produced it yourself, to: edge@edgecut.org.
