Word.Art Salon

The first salon in the Word.Art Salon series was held at CultureHub on April 24, 2025, at 7:00 PM. This artist-curated live arts series features durational works of 5–20 minutes that center language, performance, performed language, and technology as artistic media. Works take the form of sound, movement, theatrical storytelling, literature, film, code, and other experimental or hard-to-categorize modes in between.

Featured Artists: 

  • Allison Parrish is a computer programmer, poet, and game designer who is just out here every day trying her best.

  • A.J. Cincotta-Eichenfield is a multimedia artist re-assembling digital memory from found texts, images, and family artifacts.

  • Andrea Moreno is a first-gen, multidisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, NY.  + Yueyang Luo/Lo is a post-student, a Chinese female, and an artist if it stands for peace-making.

  • Dahlia Bloomstone is a Puerto Rican/American artist and scholar and a 2024–2025 Elaine G. Weitzen Studio Program Fellow at the Whitney Museum of American Art Independent Study Program (ISP).

  • Qiujiang Levi Lu is a NYC-based performance artist, experimental musician, composer, and music lecturer at UPenn.
