EdgeCut presents its inaugural season: a double bill of boundary-pushing new works by Katherine Helen Fisher and Leo Chang that activate language, sound, gesture, and technology. Presented on December 3rd and 5th at its brand new home, Edge Space, a co-op for live performance experiments in SoHo.

About the Works

Cyborg Mirror by Katherine Helen Fisher is a radical techno-feminist performance merging contemporary dance, performance art, and interactive AI systems to interrogate power, agency, and digital embodiment.

jeonmonori by Leo Chang is an electronic reimagining of the sangmo, a hat with a long, spinning whip made of ribbon attached to its crown, which is worn and played during the sangmonori, a Korean folk tradition where the instrumentalist/performer plays and dances simultaneously with their percussion instrument.


About the Artists

Katherine Helen Fisher is a multidisciplinary dance artist whose work merges performance and technology to explore the choreographic possibilities between humans and machines.

Leo Chang is a Korean experimental musician, improviser, composer, and sound artist based in New York who has been focused on building electronic performance setups derived from Korean folk practices and instruments for the last seven years.
