About the Artist
Lori Talcottis a Seattle-based artist who uses the format of jewelry to explore contemporary theories of magic, the agency of objects, and the intersection of language and matter. Born into a family of jewelers and watchmakers, she apprenticed with a master silversmith in Norway, specializing in traditional folk jewelry, before earning her MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts. Talcott's work is held in collections worldwide, including the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
